Styles

  • Styles apply to an entire paragraph.
  • Styles contain character and paragraph formatting: font, color, paragraph alignment, margins, line spacing, and borders.

Styles Control button

  1. Click on the style drop-down arrow
  2. Click on a style

The style is applied to the current paragraph or all selected paragraphs.

Style Update Button

  1. Select and format a paragraph.
  2. Click the Update Style button.

The style now contains the new format. Other paragraphs with that style change their appearance.

  1. Select the text or paragraphs you want to be formatted exactly like the style.
  2. Click the style drop-down arrow and choose Clear Formatting.

The overriding formatting is removed and the text appears exactly as the style dictates.

  3. Type in a new name for your style.

The new style is created and contains all the formatting of the current paragraph.

  1. Click on the style drop-down arrow and select 'New, Copy, Del...'.
