Import/Export Documents

  • Import Word Documents to iNetWord.
  • Export an iNetWord document to a Word document. 
  • Export an iNetWord document to a PDF document.
  • Upload any file into the Document pane for enhanced document design.

 

About File Formats:

iNetWord documents are saved in HTML format, the same as used on web pages.  Formats mentioned here are: (*.html) for iNetWord and web pages, (*.doc) for MS Word, and (*.pdf) for PDF veiwer format.

Development Notice:

Soon there will be significant improvements in the fidelity of the Import/Export conversion features.  We include them for you to experience, understanding that they will improve.

  1. Click the Import/Export Files button.
  2. Click on 'Import Word Document (*doc)'.
  3. Browse and select local Word document to import.
  4. In the Import Word File dialog, select the destination folder.
  5. Click Import.

iNetWord converts the (*.doc) file into (*.html) format automatically.

 

 
 
 

  1. Open document in browser to be exported.
  2. Click the Import/Export Files button.
  3. Click on 'Export Word Document'.
  4. A new browser opens and a dialog gives you the option to Open or Save the document.  If MS Word is installed on your machine, selecting Open will open the document in Word within a browser window.  You can also save the document to disk.

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Open document in browser to be exported.
  2. Click on the Import/Export Files button.
  3. Click on 'Export PDF Document'.
  4. If a PDF viewer is installed on your machine, a new browser will open and display the converted document. 
  5. To save, click File, then Save As.

 

 

  1. Click on the Import/Export Files button.
  2. Click on Upload Any File (*.*)
  3. Browse and select local file to import.
  4. Select the destination folder in the iNetWord Documents pane.
  5. Click Import.

 

Tip:  To insert a multimedia link in your web document:

  1. Use Import/Export Files feature to upload the multimedia file, such as WAV, MP3, animated GIF, MPEG, into the Documents Pane. 
  2. Create a link in your document
  3. Click the Insert Hyperlink button
  4. With the cursor in the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, click the filename of the multimedia file in the documents pane.
  5. Click Create Hyperlink.
  6. Publish the document.
  7. Click the link on the published page.

The multimedia file will be played using the assigned application installed on your computer.
